About Megan

Megan M. Hamm, ED.S, LPC-S, RPT

Megan Hamm, a transformative force in the realm of mental health and healing. With over 15 years of
experience in the field, Megan possesses a unique gift – the ability to hold space for individuals as they
release the most painful aspects of their lives and selves. Through her work as a Licensed Professional
Counselor (LPC), supervisor, and Registered Play Therapist (RPT), she has witnessed the profound impact of healing within the therapy room. Yet, her vision extends far beyond these sacred sessions.

Megan recognizes that true healing often necessitates a shift in mindset, not only for individuals but
within the relationships that surround them – family, school, friends, workplace, and the broader
community. As a visionary, Megan has a remarkable talent for taking everyday life experiences and
transforming them into powerful opportunities for shifting perspectives.

Her mission is clear: to directly impact these relationships through education, personal awareness, and a hands-on approach that creates safe spaces for healing. Megan’s passion lies in providing a fresh perspective on mental health and those living with mental illness to groups, churches, organizations, and entire communities. Her trainings are not mere lectures; they are immersive experiences that engage participants, fostering personal growth and community transformation.

Megan’s work is rooted in her extensive experience working with individuals and families impacted by traumatic experiences. She understands the complexity of healing and the importance of providing safe, nurturing environments for individuals to find their way towards well-being.

Through her dedication, expertise, and unwavering commitment to making a positive impact, Megan Hamm is a catalyst for change, helping individuals and communities navigate the path to healing and growth. Her ability to inspire mindset shifts and create safe spaces for transformation makes her a powerful force in the world of mental health advocacy and education.

Do you experience anger or feel overwhelmed emotionally? Do you feel anxious or depressed? Have you experienced past childhood traumas or abuse or have any current traumas or abuse? Do you long for a place where you can be yourself, show the “real you,” and feel heard and supported? If the answer is ‘yes,’ then I want to help you.

I see individuals (11+) and families. I am a trauma-informed therapist with multiple trauma trainings. I am trained in TBRI, EMDR, and Story-Informed with individuals through the hard things. Also, I am equipped to help individuals process past hurts and strive for a healthier future.

Choosing to enter into counseling can feel scary and make you feel extremely vulnerable. If you are ready to take that first step and begin a new journey, I would be honored to walk along side you. No matter how dire your situation may feel, I can hold hope for you as you begin your journey of healing.

In my spare time, I enjoy reading while sitting outside in the sun and spending time with family and friends.
